Shanghai Disney Resort is the sixth Disney resort in the world and the largest one in Asia. What makes it especially exciting right now is the newly opened Zootopia, the world’s first land inspired by Disney’s hugely popular animated film Zootopia. If you have ever wanted to step into a cute city full of adorable animals, this is absolutely not to be missed. On top of that, Shanghai Disneyland is also home to major highlight rides like TRON Lightcycle Power Run, a futuristic roller coaster inspired by TRON: Legacy, which thrill-seekers should definitely put at the top of their list.
The magic of Shanghai Disneyland does not stop there. Its Enchanted Storybook Castle is known as the largest Disney castle in the world, and it was created to represent all 13 Disney princesses. In this review, I’m going all in across every corner of the park. We’ll dive into the world of imagination, magical details, Disney characters, must-try rides, the best themed lands, and the most photogenic spots. If you are a Disney fan, this is one review you really do not want to skim.

Getting to Know Shanghai Disney Resort
Shanghai Disney Resort is the sixth Disney resort in the world. It blends Disney’s iconic stories and characters with Chinese culture and traditions in a very thoughtful way. The story of Shanghai Disney Resort goes back to the early 1990s, when The Walt Disney Company began discussions with the Chinese authorities about opening a new theme park. The negotiations continued for many years until 2009, when Disney and the Chinese government officially approved the project and selected Shanghai as the location for the new resort. That was how Shanghai Disney Resort came to life.
Construction officially began on April 8, 2011. Shanghai Disneyland was designed to combine classic Disney elements with Chinese culture while still staying true to the magical world that defines Disney theme parks. After five years of construction, the park officially opened on June 16, 2016. What makes Shanghai Disneyland especially interesting is that it is divided into eight themed lands: Mickey Avenue, Gardens of Imagination, Fantasyland, Adventure Isle, Treasure Cove, Tomorrowland, Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land, and Zootopia, the newest land that opened in late 2023. At the moment, this is the first and only Zootopia land in the world.
Another unique feature is Enchanted Storybook Castle, which is unlike any other Disney castle. It is the largest Disney castle ever built, and instead of being dedicated to one princess, it represents all 13 Disney princesses. All of these details have helped Shanghai Disneyland become hugely popular among both Chinese visitors and international travelers. For Disney fans visiting China, this is one destination that truly should not be missed.
Where Should You Buy Shanghai Disneyland Tickets?
- Buy through OTAs such as Klook (⭐️ Recommended): The easiest, most convenient, and often best-value way to buy tickets is through Klook. Tickets usually open for sale around two months in advance. After purchasing, you receive a QR Code that you can scan at the park entrance together with your passport. There is no need to print anything. For me, this is one of the most convenient ways to visit Shanghai Disneyland.

Where to Stay When Visiting Shanghai Disney Resort?
For anyone planning a proper Shanghai Disney Resort trip and wanting to fully explore the park’s themed lands and attractions while soaking up the resort atmosphere, I recommend staying at one of the Shanghai Disney Resort Hotels. There are two official hotels here: Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel. Both are decorated in Disney themes, and some hotel packages come with special benefits such as park access perks, resort shuttle services, and even a boat transfer between the park and the hotel for hotel guests. If you love the Disney experience and want to feel fully immersed in it, staying at one of these hotels is absolutely worth considering.
Disney-Themed Hotels at Shanghai Disney Resort Hotels
- Shanghai Disneyland Hotel starts from around CNY 2,400 (around US$330) per night. This is the most luxurious and expensive hotel in the resort, located by the waterfront with views toward the park. Book via Klook (hotel + park ticket packages may be available)
- Toy Story Hotel [⭐️ Recommended] starts from around CNY 1,200 (around US$165) per night. This hotel is themed around Toy Story and is especially suitable for families with children. Book via Klook (hotel + park ticket packages may be available)
Benefits of Staying at Shanghai Disney Resort Hotels
- Free shuttle buses connect the park with both Shanghai Disney Resort Hotels.
- You can meet different Disney characters at the hotel and during breakfast.
- Guests of Shanghai Disney Resort Hotels can enter the park one hour before official opening by showing their room key card.
- Guests staying at Shanghai Disneyland Hotel also get access to a water taxi service to Shanghai Disneyland.
- Both hotels offer exclusive Disney merchandise that can only be purchased by hotel guests.
Tips for Planning a Full Day at Shanghai Disneyland
- Buy your tickets online in advance. If you already know you are visiting Shanghai Disneyland, book your tickets ahead so you do not waste time queueing at the ticket counter.
- Download the Shanghai Disney Resort app. This one app is genuinely useful inside the park.
- You can view the full park map and see where you are, as well as check the wait times for each ride.
- You can see ride locations, themed lands, and whether any attractions are temporarily closed.
- You can check parade, show, and fireworks schedules.
- Arrive as early as possible. If you can get there right when the park opens, even better, because popular rides usually have shorter queues in the morning. You’ll also have much more time to cover more attractions throughout the day.
- If you want to ride attractions in Zootopia, I recommend heading there first as soon as the park opens. It is the newest and most popular land right now, and queue times are usually longer than other attractions.
- Almost everything inside Shanghai Disneyland can be paid for using Alipay or WeChat Pay.
- If you want to save money, you can bring food and a water bottle into Shanghai Disneyland. I recommend bringing easy-to-carry food without strong smells. For drinks, bring a bottle so you can refill water inside the park.
Must-Try Rides at Shanghai Disneyland
When it comes to must-try rides at Shanghai Disneyland, it really depends on your personal preference. But if I had to choose the attractions I think are most worth prioritizing, I would divide them into three categories based on what I personally enjoyed. This is completely subjective, of course, but if you do not know where to start, you can use this as a guide based on your own travel style.
| Reasons You Shouldn’t Miss These Rides | Must-Try Rides at Shanghai Disneyland |
| For roller coaster fans who want fun and thrills | – TRON Lightcycle Power Run |
| Immersive, experience-driven attractions | – Zootopia: Hot Pursuit – Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure – Roaring Rapids – Soaring Over the Horizon |
| Unique attractions found only at Shanghai Disneyland | – Zootopia: Hot Pursuit – Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure – Roaring Rapids |

⚡️ One quick note: I’ll write this review by themed land, but in real life, when you are inside the park, you do not need to follow the lands in order. If a popular ride you really want to try has a reasonable wait time on the Disney app, go for it right away. That way, you can cover more attractions throughout the day.
Let’s Start Exploring Shanghai Disneyland
Zootopia
Zootopia is the newest land at Shanghai Disneyland, and it currently exists only here. Inspired by Disney’s beloved animated film Zootopia, this land lets you step into a city full of animals. What makes it so impressive is how a large section of the park has been transformed into an actual animal metropolis. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you have entered the heart of Zootopia through different districts built on a huge scale, including Sahara Square, a district for desert mammals; Tundratown, a city area for animals that live in cold climates, complete with giant cooling systems that help regulate the temperature; and Rainforest District, with streets full of animal characters living out their everyday lives. It really feels like you are watching the daily rhythm of Zootopia unfold around you.
If you are a fan of the film, I honestly think Zootopia should be the first land you run to when you enter Shanghai Disneyland.

Zootopia: Hot Pursuit
Zootopia: Hot Pursuit is the only ride in Zootopia, and it has already become one of the hottest attractions at Shanghai Disneyland. The fun of Zootopia: Hot Pursuit is that you board a large police vehicle and enter the world of Zootopia through a ride that keeps you excited almost the entire time. You never really know which direction your vehicle will move next.
The story of Zootopia: Hot Pursuit puts us in the role of helping Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde chase down Bellwether’s gang, who have kidnapped the famous singer Gazelle. Our mission is to bring her back in time to perform at the Zootopia Day celebration. The vehicle takes us through different parts of the city, including Sahara Square, Rainforest District, Tundratown, Mystic Springs Oasis, Rainforest District again, and Savanna Central, until we finally complete the mission and bring Gazelle back to perform. Toward the end of the ride, we get to see Gazelle performing live, dancing right in front of us. What impressed me most about this ride was the highly realistic 3D scenes and the temperature effects used as the vehicle moves through different districts. Some areas feel cold, others warm, almost as if you are riding through the actual streets of Zootopia. This is absolutely one of the attractions you should not miss.
Tomorrowland
For anyone who imagines Tomorrowland as a futuristic, sci-fi, space-inspired land, which is the classic identity of Disney’s Tomorrowland, I have to say that the version at Shanghai Disneyland feels a little different. Here, the land is designed as a futuristic realm filled with sleek contemporary architecture. Tomorrowland is imagined as a future world where humanity, technology, and nature coexist through a very distinctive architectural style. Curved lines, metallic surfaces, steel, and glass dominate the buildings, while natural light flows through the spaces. The whole land feels incredibly modern, almost like stepping into a world of science and future technology.

The must-try ride in this land is TRON Lightcycle Power Run, a high-speed roller coaster inspired by Disney’s TRON: Legacy. This was the first Disney theme park attraction based on TRON, and it is the main highlight of Tomorrowland. The ride lets us board motorcycle-style seats and race beneath a glowing canopy that makes the entire area feel like a portal into a futuristic universe.
TRON Lightcycle Power Run
The coolest and most exciting ride at Shanghai Disneyland, in my opinion, has to be TRON Lightcycle Power Run in Tomorrowland. This futuristic roller coaster inspired by TRON: Legacy is seriously fun and probably the most thrilling ride in the park. I would honestly say this is a must-try attraction. TRON Lightcycle Power Run debuted first in Shanghai, and it is currently the only TRON coaster in Asia.
The coaster vehicle is unlike most roller coasters you may have tried before because the seating position is motorcycle-style. You sit down, lean forward onto the lightcycle, and then the ride launches from inside before shooting outside and looping back in again. It is fast, fun, and exciting enough to make you scream a little. The glowing ride vehicle and the massive dome with streaks of light overhead make it feel like you are riding a roller coaster through a futuristic digital world. This is one attraction I highly recommend heading straight for.
Treasure Cove
Now we arrive at Treasure Cove. If you are a fan of Captain Jack Sparrow of the Black Pearl, this land is absolutely for you. This is the first pirate-themed land ever created at a Disney park, inspired by the world-famous Pirates of the Caribbean films. The land recreates an 18th-century Spanish harbor in the Caribbean, letting us step into the golden age of piracy and experience the life of pirates through winding walkways that feel like an old Caribbean port. The area is incredibly detailed, with pirate ships, coastal forts, rustic taverns, and a massive shipwreck. It is also home to the must-try attraction Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure, which I’ll say right away is one of the best rides here and should not be missed. If you love adventure, treasure hunts, and mysterious sea stories, Treasure Cove is the perfect land for you.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure
Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure is another ride at Shanghai Disneyland that you really have to try. Personally, this is my second favorite ride after TRON Lightcycle Power Run because it is genuinely fun and absolutely worth the queue. The ride takes us aboard a magnetically controlled trackless boat into a cave with a pirate graveyard. We get to see Captain Jack Sparrow through realistic holograms, 3D effects, and moving animatronics. I was amazed the moment I first saw him because he looked incredibly real, almost as if I were sitting right next to Captain Jack on the boat.
The ride takes us through a massive ocean world filled with spectacular holographic scenes. The moment the boat passes the Black Pearl and we see Captain Jack battling ghost pirates, it genuinely feels like watching a live action scene unfolding right in front of us. The scene that nearly moved me as a fan of the films is when two enormous ships face each other. At first, it seems calm, but once our boat drifts into the middle between them, they suddenly start firing cannons, water bursts everywhere, and the whole thing feels like we are caught in the middle of a sea battle. It is technically just a boat ride, but the sets, props, lighting, sound, and effects are on another level. If you have time, I honestly recommend riding it twice because there are so many details to catch. One round may not be enough to notice every little prop and effect.
Adventure Isle
Adventure Isle is the land for anyone who loves mysterious jungle adventures. The atmosphere here makes you feel like you are on a remote island filled with lush forest somewhere in Asia or Africa. The story of this land follows a group of explorers called The League of Adventurers, who accidentally veered off course and landed on this island in 1930. The explorers then began learning about the culture of the island’s indigenous people, the Arbori, an ancient tribe deeply connected to nature and mysterious forces. The land is full of dense greenery, with plants everywhere you look. At the center stands a dramatic waterfall surrounded by ancient ruins, which ties into attractions like Roaring Rapids, a raft-style adventure along an ancient river where you encounter a mysterious creature, and Soaring Over the Horizon, a flying simulator that lets you soar over famous landmarks around the world, from the Great Wall of China to the African savanna. If you love adventure, you will probably love this land.
Roaring Rapids
The first ride in Adventure Isle that you should try is Roaring Rapids, a river rafting attraction where each raft seats up to eight people. We get to go on a whitewater adventure along a fast-moving river, twisting through rapids and different sections of the route. The story of Roaring Rapids takes us into the Apu Taku valley on the island, before entering the heart of the towering Roaring Mountain. Inside are ruins of ancient structures and artifacts, surrounded by winding currents. Some parts of the cave are so dark you can barely see what lies ahead. According to the legend of the Arbori people, this mountain is protected by a large serpent-like creature known as Q’aráq. Our raft journey sends us in to help The League of Adventurers search for Q’aráq.
One thing to know before riding Roaring Rapids is that you may get a little wet. If you did not bring a rain poncho, you can buy one near the entrance queue for around 10 yuan (around US$1–2). When I went, almost every Chinese visitor was wearing a poncho, but I personally did not wear one. After the ride, I was not that wet, though it really depends on timing and where you sit. If you get unlucky, you might get soaked. If you want to reduce the chance of getting splashed, avoid sitting on the outer edge near the boarding walkway and try to sit more toward the middle. But if you want to stay 100% dry, bring a rain poncho in advance.

Soaring Over the Horizon
Soaring Over the Horizon is another Adventure Isle attraction I highly recommend. The highlight is that it makes you feel as if you are flying through the sky and traveling across the world through a giant dome-shaped projection screen. The journey passes landmarks in Switzerland, Australia, Germany, Egypt, the United States, China, and many other places. The ride connects to the idea of exploration and adventure. Before boarding, we are welcomed by a tribal elder who guides us on a magical journey around the world. Then we board a simulated flying vehicle that uses advanced technology to lift us over iconic places, complete with wind effects and scents that match each location. When flying past the Taj Mahal in India, for example, there is a soft fragrance reminiscent of Indian incense. When passing through the African savanna and the Arctic, the scents shift into something fresh and earthy, almost like the smell of grass and soil after rain.
What makes this ride so wonderful is the feeling of sprouting wings and gliding above the sky before traveling around the world. It feels like becoming a bird, except much more exciting and cinematic because your feet are still dangling in the air. If you are afraid of heights, it may feel slightly thrilling, but I think most people can ride it comfortably. Personally, I really liked this attraction. Soaring Over the Horizon is definitely one ride worth trying at least once.

Fantasyland
Fantasyland is one of the signature lands of any Disneyland park, because this is where the Disney castle stands. At Shanghai Disneyland, the castle is Enchanted Storybook Castle, the tallest and most elaborate Disney castle ever built. It is also different from castles at other Disney parks because it is the largest Disney castle in the world and represents all Disney princesses instead of being dedicated to just one. In that sense, Enchanted Storybook Castle has become a symbol of dreams, courage, and magic. Beyond the grand castle, Fantasyland is full of attractions inspired by classic Disney animated stories. If you grew up watching Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Disney princesses, and other classic characters, this land will definitely feel familiar and nostalgic.
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a roller coaster based on the seven dwarfs from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the classic story many of us have known since childhood. Disney based this attraction on the 1937 animated film. What makes this ride special is that this is only the second version in the world, and the only one in Asia. If you miss it here, you would have to fly to the United States to ride it.
The story of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train takes us aboard a mine train roller coaster before dipping into an underground mine where the seven dwarfs are hard at work. Inside the mine, we see them digging for colorful sparkling jewels that light up the darkness while they sing their familiar songs. After that, the coaster takes us back above ground into a lush forest. The ride is not extremely fast or frightening. Personally, I think Seven Dwarfs Mine Train feels like a family-friendly coaster for older children and adults. What makes it fun and charming is how it combines two formats: an outdoor roller coaster and a dark ride. They work together really well, making this another ride that almost everyone can enjoy.
Toy Story Land
Let’s close this ride section with Toy Story Land, the land inspired by the adorable Toy Story films. This land first opened in 2018 and is designed to make us feel as if we have entered Andy’s backyard. From the entrance, bamboo is used like a giant fence around the area, and everywhere you look, there are oversized props and characters from Toy Story, including giant Woody, giant Rex, a large paper airplane, and the iconic Pixar ball from the first film. Once you step in, it feels like we have been shrunk down to the size of Andy’s toys.

What makes Toy Story Land so cute is its bright, playful colors. I think children will absolutely love this land. The main attractions range from very gentle rides like Slinky Dog Spin, a cute caterpillar-style spinning ride suitable for young kids, to more adrenaline-filled options like Rex’s Racer, a thrilling half-pipe coaster similar to a Viking ship ride. If you love exciting rides, this one might be your perfect match. The land also has close-up photo spots with Toy Story characters, so fans of the films should definitely stop by.
Rex’s Racer
Another ride that gives a very good dose of thrill is Rex’s Racer, located among bamboo-themed landscaping inspired by the backyard world of Toy Story. This ride is inspired by Mattel’s Hot Wheels toy cars, with a cute orange track design. Disney transformed that idea into a large-scale attraction featuring a giant orange U-shaped race track.
The thrill of Rex’s Racer comes from being launched back and forth at speed, almost like a Viking ship ride. The highest point reaches about 30 meters above the ground, so if you are afraid of heights, your knees may feel weak. The moment the ride reverses all the way up and then drops back down at full force is genuinely intense. People around me were screaming their lungs out. Personally, I enjoy thrill rides, so I was fine, but if you want to add some color to your day and feel properly awake again, try Rex’s Racer. You may walk off feeling like you’ve been reborn.
ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration
A visit to Shanghai Disneyland would not feel complete without staying for the nighttime fireworks show. Here, the show is called ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration. What I like is that the official schedule may show two performances per day, around 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM, with the second show usually recommended because it is less crowded. However, I strongly suggest checking the fireworks schedule again when you arrive at the park. When I visited, there was only one show at 9:00 PM, so checking the schedule helps make sure you do not miss it.
The fireworks show begins at Enchanted Storybook Castle, where 3D projections tell stories from different Disney films featuring more than 150 characters. Classic Disney songs bring back the feeling of watching animated films as a child, before the show builds into full-scale effects with lasers shooting onto the castle and across the sky, fountains dancing along to the music, and grand fireworks surrounding the castle. The lights and colors burst upward into the night sky, transforming the darkness into something magical. Even after watching Disney fireworks around the world, I still feel impressed and happy every single time.
The ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration fireworks show lasts more than 20 minutes and is truly grand. If you want to end your day inside a world of Disney magic and childhood dreams, this is the perfect finale. When visiting Disney, I honestly think you should stay for the fireworks. Otherwise, the day does not feel complete.
Staying at Shanghai Disney Resort Hotels
Toy Story Hotel
If you are planning a full-on Shanghai Disneyland trip, staying at a Disney hotel is something I think you should try at least once. On this trip, I stayed at two hotels, starting with Toy Story Hotel. This is one of the hotels I recommend because the starting nightly rate is not too high, especially if you are traveling with several people or with family. Toy Story Hotel is themed around the famous animated film Toy Story, with large toy decorations inspired by characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and many others. Everything is bright, colorful, and oversized, so staying here gives you the feeling that you have been shrunk down to toy size.
The atmosphere and design of Toy Story Hotel feel like stepping into Andy’s lively, playful world with his friends. Outside the hotel, there are benches and colorful roofs everywhere. Inside, from the moment I walked in, it felt like being transported back to a childhood playground. One cute detail is the hotel columns, which are decorated to look like stacks of toy blocks. Around the hotel, there are cartoon-watching corners, children’s play areas, colorful furniture, pool tables, arcade games, and many other fun details. Families with children will probably love it.

The rooms at Toy Story Hotel come in two main categories: Standard Rooms and Suite Rooms. I stayed in a Standard Room, which has several subtypes depending on the view. Mine was a Garden View room for two people. Inside, there were two large twin beds, a headboard decorated with blue-and-white cloud imagery, Toy Story-themed carpeting, and cute details like cups, bed throws, and slippers featuring Toy Story characters. The bathroom’s wet and dry zones are in the same room, separated only by a curtain, while the sink area is separate. The room also comes with complete amenities, including bottled water, a refrigerator, minibar, and free Wi-Fi.

One thing not to miss here is breakfast. The hotel serves a buffet in the morning. When you enter the dining room, you choose a colorful tray that makes you feel like you are part of the Toy Story world. Then you can pick food freely. At Toy Story Hotel, most dishes and desserts are served by staff rather than self-service. They ask what you want and how many pieces, then place them on your tray. The food selection includes Chinese dishes such as dim sum, steamed buns, noodles, and stir-fried dishes, along with a dessert bar full of sweets. You definitely get both savory and sweet options here.

Beyond everything I mentioned, staying at Toy Story Hotel also gives you many perks. You can take photos with Disney characters, buy exclusive items available only at the hotel store, use the hotel shuttle to the park throughout the day, and enjoy early park entry one hour before the general opening time. Staying at Toy Story Hotel really helps complete the full Shanghai Disneyland experience.
Shanghai Disneyland Hotel
When talking about the flagship hotel of Shanghai Disney Resort Hotels, it has to be Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. This five-star hotel is designed in a classic Disney style, with grand, elegant interiors, high ceilings, and views toward the park and Enchanted Storybook Castle. Behind the hotel is Wishing Star Lake. The hotel presents itself as a luxurious blend of Disney magic and decorative details inspired by Shanghai, and it really does feel beautifully refined.
The interior atmosphere of Shanghai Disneyland Hotel is honestly hard to describe without sounding dramatic. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the soaring atrium made me look all the way up. There are many columns decorated with subtle Chinese-inspired patterns, while the furniture comes in calm, elegant tones. In the center of the lobby stands a large brown sculpture of Mickey and his friends. There is also a piano corner where musicians perform in the evening. The whole place feels like stepping into a fairy-tale world, as if you have become one of the characters inside a Disney storybook.

From the lobby, if you walk toward the back of the hotel, you can see views toward the theme park. If you want a more exclusive fireworks-viewing experience, try going up to the rooftop around 9 PM. Hotel guests are allowed to step outside and watch the fireworks from there. It feels very special because this view is reserved only for guests staying at the hotel.
Rooms at Shanghai Disneyland Hotel are divided into four main categories: Deluxe Rooms, Club Level Rooms, Junior Suites with Club-Level Services, and Signature Suites with Club-Level Services. I stayed in a Deluxe Room, which also has several subtypes. Mine was a Deluxe Garden View room for two people. Inside, there were two large twin beds. The wooden headboard features Tinker Bell casting her magic, while the dark wood furniture is decorated with subtle Disney details. For example, the chair fabric may look like a normal pattern at first, but if you look closely, you will see many Mickey Mouse head motifs woven together. Everything in the room has a classic, refined feel.

The bathroom here is gorgeous and feels very princess-like. The white furniture has elegant decorative details, and the large sink area feels almost like standing in front of a Disney princess vanity. The wet and dry zones are in the same room, separated by a curtain. Other amenities are complete, including in-room essentials, bottled water, a refrigerator, minibar, and free Wi-Fi.

For breakfast, among all the Disney hotels I have stayed at, I would honestly give the top spot to the restaurant here. Not only is the atmosphere incredibly grand, but the seating is arranged with semi-private corners for different groups. The food selection includes Chinese dishes such as dim sum, steamed buns, mantou, and fresh noodle stations, along with Japanese, Italian, and international dishes. From around 8 AM onward, Disney characters also come to meet guests in the restaurant. On the day I stayed, Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto came out to entertain guests and take photos. Breakfast here was full of joy from start to finish.
Staying at Shanghai Disneyland Hotel also comes with many special benefits. You can take photos with Disney characters, purchase exclusive merchandise at the hotel store, use the free shuttle and water taxi between the hotel and the park, and enjoy early park entry one hour before general opening. All of these perks are part of the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel experience.
Summary of Visiting Shanghai Disneyland
After visiting Shanghai Disneyland this time, I was still impressed as always. The park is huge and spectacular in every corner. The newest land, Zootopia, is especially adorable, recreating the animal city from the animated film in such a realistic way that it feels like walking among the characters. Tomorrowland here also feels different from other Disney parks, leaning heavily into futuristic design and China’s advanced technology. Meanwhile, the holograms and 3D effects in Treasure Cove and Adventure Isle are so immersive that I could not take my eyes off them.
Another highlight was getting to stay at two Disney hotels. The fantasy atmosphere really makes you feel like part of a fairy tale. All of this became an experience I will never forget. If you are visiting China and have a chance to stop in Shanghai, I honestly think Shanghai Disneyland is not to be missed. If you are planning to buy tickets, you can check the link below.
